Maximo Park’s maybe album title?! Intriguing…

Maximo Park

Maxeeeeemo Park

Now then, Rollerdisco of Love eh? Well that’s what’s been rumoured here by the Daily Star.

We remember when Our Earthly Pleasures first got revealed; we thought they’d gone all pseudo-carnal on us. Not far wrong, just with more than the hint of Camusian existentialism we’d initially predicted.

And A Certain Trigger’s more than a tad misleading in moniker. It certainly shot from the hip but its immediacy wasn’t its only defining feature. Though perhaps that’s where the ‘certain’ came in?

What’s this one gonna do then? Enough verbal dissection, it’s time to get your skates on. Oh ho ho.

We’ll be back with more news as and when it gets revealed!

Capsula – Rising Mountains

June 2, 2009

Stag and Dagger, Glasgow: Take Two

May 31, 2009

Glasgow has needed a festival like this for ages.

Sonic Youth – The Eternal

May 31, 2009

If anything, new album The Eternal is even more direct and straight-rocking than its predecessor: it’s what 1992’s Dirty might have sounded like without Butch Vig’s polished production.

Deerhunter – Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP

May 31, 2009

Varied, but not disjointed. Concise, but not half-formed.
