Dr Dre’s son has been found dead

Rising star, Hood Surgeon, with perhaps the best pedigree in rap, was found dead at the weekend in his Woodland Hills home.

The 20-year-old, whose real name is Andre R. Young Jr., had been out the night before with friends and was discovered in his bed the next morning by his mother.

Los Angeles County coroner’s spokesman Ed Winter told LA Times:

“She found him unresponsive and called paramedics.”

He added that an autopsy had been carried out but the cause of death had been deferred pending the outcome of a “gamut of tests, including toxicology.”

Dr Dre released a statement saying: ”Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”

Young’s debut album was called The Hood Surgeon: The Autopsy of Curtis Young.
